What is an Adult Day Care Center?

An Adult Day Care Center is a safe haven away from home for seniors that promotes their social, physical and mental well-being that provides a variety of clinical services including nursing care management, social work, physical and occupational therapy, and nutrition services in addition to a culturally diversified therapeutic recreation program.

Is transportation provided?

Yes. Transportation is provided all over northern New Jersey. Accommodations are provided for those who use assistive devices or are in wheelchairs.

Are meals provided?

Yes. A snack and a full hot nutritious meal are provided during each shift.

Is Adult Day Care covered by insurance?

Yes, Medicaid and all managed care Medicaid insurances pay for Adult Day Care services.

Can my home attendant come with me to the center?

No. The center has certified nurses’ assistants on staff to assist with any personal care or activities of daily living. Therefore, home attendants are not allowed to accompany you to the center.
